Careem Pakistan and Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) have joined hands to help further the cause of education to underprivileged children in Pakistan, especially girls under the banner of “تعلیم ہو گی عام، ہر بیٹی کے نام“.
Under the MOU signed between Careem Pakistan and SAF, Careem will facilitate in fundraising for SAF through their exclusive Car-Type “Build Pakistan”. Customers will also be able to donate by redeeming their Careem Reward points earned through the app.
The signing ceremony was held at the Careem House (Headquarters) where the senior leadership hosted cricketing legend Shahid Afridi, Global Chairman, SAF along with Zeshan Afzal, Global CEO, SAF.
Cricketing Legend, Shahid Afridi shared his vision during the ceremony “I strongly believe that our community especially the corporate sector has to come forward and contribute their part to give back to the society for which I am very grateful to Careem and its management for joining hands with Shahid Afridi Foundation.”
On the occasion, Mr. Zeshan Afzal, spoke about SAF initiatives and the current partnership “SAF has undertaken different initiatives in Health, Water and Sports Rehabilitation with a special focus on its Education projects. SAF aims to uplift the underprivileged communities in Pakistan with help from the corporate community and especially from MNCs under their CSR initiatives”
The partnership is yet another step in helping give the 22.8 million out of school children in Pakistan a chance at a brighter future by bringing together enabling organizations through technology platforms.
