• Clean Water

Hand pumps across

Pakistan

Pakistan is among the top 10 countries of the world with a major chunk of population living without access to safe water. As many as 16 million people in the country have no choice but to collect unsafe water from unsafe sources. SAF recognizes the importance of dealing with this situation as efficiently as possible.

Achieving the

impossible

The citizens of this backward isolated area were finally able to enjoy one of the most basic human rights. Something, that due to their situation, considered to be luxury. Having access to clean and fresh water lead to a decline in disease and illness in the area and drastically improved these people’s standard of living.

The Logistics

To ensure the possibility of providing approximately 100,000 people with access to clean and safe drinking water, a pipeline was installed. 25 hand pumps and 8 overhead tanks were attached with the sole purpose of achieving this goal, without external help. This project was the brainchild of Shahid Afridi himself.
