Axis Public School– Farooqabad
SAF was initially contacted by the school in April 2022 to conduct sports activities. However, due to a severe heat wave in Punjab, the program was postponed and rescheduled for September 2022. Following an initial assessment of the students, the SAF team conducted ice-breaking sessions with both students and teachers. Using the selection criteria of the project, 45 students, including 20 girls and 25 boys, were selected from the school as change agents.
Over the course of five days, the SAF technical team delivered life skills training through modified games, group work, discussions, and role plays. Initially, the girl students were hesitant to participate in the activities as they had not been given such opportunities before. However, after coaching and ice-breaking sessions, they responded with great enthusiasm. The SAF team successfully brought the students onto the stage, the field, and boosted their confidence and presentation skills.
Ten teachers, including two male and eight female teachers, were also included in the program and were equipped with life skills to replicate them in their school.
