Supporting women of color overseas to explore the creative arts and embrace their passion, Shahid Afridi Foundation is devoted to the cause of education, all around. With the support of SAF USA chair Najam Usmani, we have contributed to Ayet Syed’s fund through New York University. We recognize many girls like Ayet Syed who aspire and strive to have a career in film making.

As part of our Emergency Relief Response initiatives, we have lent support to our Afghan brother living in Afghan basti in Mujahid Northern camp bypass near Karachi. The drive assisted 300 Afghan refugee families living in the country due to the socio-economic conditions of their country. Being inclusive and non-discriminatory is an integral pillar of all SAF initiatives.

At present, Pakistan stands second across the globe and has the highest number of out-of-school children with an estimated 22.8 million children not attending school. That is, for these children, the right to education remains a distant dream.
Shahid Afridi Foundation joined hands with Green Crescent Trust to raise funds and much needed awareness for out of school children across Pakistan. The fundraiser ‘lgniting a Brighter Future’ was organized in Lahore and Karachi on January 13th and March 18, 2022, respectively, to raise funds to bring 10,000 out-of-school children back to school after dropout rates increased due to COVID 19. We thank our sponsors for their assistance in raising funds for the cause and to ensure brighter future for the children in Pakistan. With the support of our generous donors, we will be able to enroll deserving students through the network of 15 schools across the country.
