The charity match took place in Loughton, Essex where SAF was kindly hosted by Loughton CC.
SAF UK organized ‘Step for SAF’ with multinational corporation BT, and their Muslim Network. The staff at BT raised funds for the cause by taking sponsored walks for SAF. There was a live Q&A session post the event, attended by staff across BT globally. Shahid Afridi, Chairman SAF and Saima Khan, Executive Director Shahid Afridi UK, answered questions ranging anywhere between cricket and Foundation work.

SAF has been at the forefront in advancing its mission through the achievement of equitable and sustainable development to transform the lives of people living under the margins. Night Of Hope 2022 was part of our efforts to marginalize poverty and reduce inequality. We were absolutely honored to be welcoming MP Anne Stanley Werriwa and Hon Zahid Hafeez, High Commissioner for Pakistan to the Commonwealth of Australia at the Sydney fundraiser and MP Frank McGuire and Consul General Pakistan Syed Mozam Shah at Melbourne fundraiser and all our guests and sponsors at the Night of Hope 2022. SMEC acknowledging our efforts at the event presented us with the certificate and letter of thanks.
We are amazed and so much thankful at the outpouring of support from our donors and sponsors as due to them, we were able to reach our fundraising targets. We will be able to expand our health programs, provide education, access to safe water, create food security and save more lives because of their trust on Shahid Afridi Foundation to improve the lives of the people of Pakistan.

SAF Australia organized an Appreciation & Fundraising Dinner which took place in Mercure Hotel, Liverpool, on 28th of March 2021, in order to express its sincere gratitude for the donors and supporters who wholeheartedly participated in all its campaigns including; COVID19 Local Community Support, Ramadan Food Drive, and Educate a Child Campaign.
Mr. Syed Atif Faheem, Country Director Australia SAF, addressed 3 most critical issues which people in Pakistan are currently facing i.e., very little or no access to water, education and food, and how access to these have the power to break the cycle of poverty. He briefed the audience on how SAF has always been at the forefront to help people in extreme poverty and vulnerability to advance their economic and social well-being through its Water, Education and Food security projects and ways people in Australia can contribute to resolve these issues while playing an essential role in the well-being of the socially and economically disadvantaged background.
The event was virtually attended by star cricketer Shahid Afridi and squash legend Jahangir Khan who also addressed and answered many questions of the enlightened audience while sports journalist Dennis Freedman joined event in person in Sydney.
Mr. Mohammad Ashraf – Council General of Pakistan in Sydney was the Chief Guest of the auspicious event who was presented a shield by Country Director SAF, Syed Atif Faheem. While other awards were presented to SAF Australia donors, supporters and the team.

SAF always crosses borders and boundaries to galvanize and coordinate global efforts to bring quality education to every child, prioritizing the poorest and most vulnerable. To achieve this, a live fundraiser was organized with Chairman Shahid Afridi on 28th Nov 2020, which was also the very first interaction of him with Australian community from SAF platform. During the program, live auction of items autographed by chairman was held while community members donated and pledged live during the event. Few of the community members were also given the opportunity to talk to chairman during the program and to show their support for the foundation.

Ramadan is the month of giving and showing support for the cause by helping less privileged and underserved within our communities. SAF Australia expanded its efforts to give relief to the less fortunate through its Ramadan Food Drive in Sydney & Melbourne simultaneously.
Food hampers were prepared and distributed by SAF Australia to refugees, single mothers, and people suffering with life impacting sickness. To promote the cause and raise awareness, SAF Australia invited various local celebrities and prominent personalities for the food packing activity.
